How can I partition this new Laptop Hard Drive?
So here is my dilemma. I just bought the ASUS Gaming Laptop. Its fantastic. But I feel tell me how can I get more of and get rid of him I want out of Vista. I bought a Hitachi 7200 RPM hard drive for it to enhance performance. Now. My question is. How does the empty drive, you get a partition to make it to Windows XP Drive? He registered to install the BIOS, but that does not recognize the drive. it says it has no power. So what is my next step? Do I connect it to another PC to get the partition? Ive search for forums, but not always answers to this specific question. Please help.
Are you sure that the hard drive is compatible with your system? The steps you are following, to hook up and try To format them, the right ones. You might want to try to take the formatting with a different PC, and if it still does not work, then returned it.
